Lead a design studio for a world class, home furnishings manufacturer. The person who will succeed in this position is still hands on the process, but with a vision for expanding the business. You will be the designer for the division, working closely with engineers in development, and responsible for working with marketing and presenting to executives. Portfolios should show diversity: consumer electronics, small appliances, kitchens, wood, aluminum, glass, steel, etc. and the depth of your investigations. Include at least one product from initial research and concepts through development to the marketplace. You will also be working with marketing in defining and pursuing strategic direction for new product development, and presenting the work of your team to senior management.
